Jessie Simkins, MOT, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

The day Jessie learned about OT, she knew it was her dream profession. Occupational Therapy combines physical and mental health and is unique and individualized. It can be applied to any demographic and is versatile! She loves tailoring interventions to suit each client’s age and specific abilities. Jessie’s personality is a natural fit for pediatric occupational therapy as she loves creativity and fun!

Jessie is also a natural fit for AZ+A. She appreciates the emphasis on mental health and the respect and support that the staff brings every day. Jessie also loves that everyone here is trying to learn and grow, from employees to clients. Her fun attitude and mentorship of fellow OTs are a big part of our collective growth.

Influenced by the work of past teacher Katie Crosby, author Brené Brown, who taught her the power of vulnerability, and child development expert, Dr. Mona Delahooke–Jessie’s future looks bright!

In Jessie’s free time, she is learning acoustic guitar, traveling to new places, training for triathlons or marathons, and playing with her french bulldog!
